My childhood and teenage years were spent in Northern California out on the countryside in a “small town” setting. After high school, I moved to Southern California for a B.A. in Philosophy at San Diego State University. Though brought up in an Evangelical church, it wasn’t until college that my ears were opened to the evangelical doctrine of justification by faith alone. It was in college that I first heard the gospel, and it was also in college that I met my lovely wife, Gina. Lord-willing, we are expecting our first baby BOY in September of 2012, I am currently in my third year of studies at Westminster Seminary California, and I hope to graduate in 2014 in order to serve Christ’s Church — if he calls, whenever he calls, and wherever he calls.
I was born in San Bernardino, CA and lived in Highland until college. I attended UC San Diego and majored in Political Science International Relations. I was raised in an evangelical home, but it wasn't until halfway through my first year of college that I really understood why Christ died for sinners. Ever since that first year of college, I have desired constantly to grow in a knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ and have made it my aim to study doctrine and the Scriptures. My greatest joy is seeing others come to know Christ and live seeking the glory of our triune God. This past February I married my wonderful wife, Rachel. I met her here at Christ URC and am thankful for God's glorious providence in all of it. By the Lord's grace, I will graduate from Westminster Theological Seminary CA June 2014 and will be looking for a call to Christ's Church. All in all may His will be done!
